The great Qur’anic commentator and scholar Ibn Kathīr (died 774 AH) stated over seven centuries ago regarding the extremist insurgents of old:

“Then the Kharijite insurgents departed – slipping through individually so that no one should come to know of them, and thus prevent them from leaving. So they departed from amidst their fathers, their mothers, their uncles, their aunts and from all of their relatives – believing due to their ignorance, their lack of knowledge and lack of intelligence, that this act was pleasing to the Lord of the earth and the heavens.

They failed to realise that it is from the greatest of major sins, from the deadly misdeeds, from the grave calamities and errors – among that which Satan has made alluring to them, as well as their own souls that inclined towards evil.

Some managed to prevent their offspring, their relatives and their brethren and brought them back, and reprimanded them. And from them were those that returned to steadfastness (upon the Sunnah); and from them were those that escaped after that to join up with the Khawārij – thus lost until the Day of Resurrection.”

Hijrah (migration) to the Prophet of Allah was not allowed without parental permission, so who is better than him to migrate to?! Which liar will claim that he has more right to migration that over rides the texts of the Sunnah? Furthermore, who will demand from teenage girls that they migrate to savages who will devour them and corrupt their innocence and snatch them away from their parents? Indeed Allah responds to the supplications of the oppressed (and more-so the supplications of parents)!

It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr that a man came to the Prophet and said: “I have come pledging to emigrate (Hijrah), and I have left my parents weeping.” He said: “Go back to them, and make them laugh as you made them weep!” (An-Nasā’ee)

Yazeed b. Abu Habeeb reported that Na’eem, the freed slave of Umm Salamah, reported to him that ‘Abdullah b. ‘Amr b. ‘As said: There came to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) a person and said: “I owe allegiance to you for migration and Jihad seeking reward only from Allah.” The Prophet asked: “Is one from amongst your parents still living?” He replied: “Yes, both are living.” He further asked: “Do you want to seek reward from Allah?” He said: “Yes.” Thereupon Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: “Go back to your parents and accord them benevolent treatment.” (Muslim)

Narrated Abu Sa’īd al-Khudrī: A man emigrated to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) from the Yemen. He asked him: Have you anyone of your relatives left in Yemen?” He replied: “My parents.” He asked: “Did they permit you?” He replied: “No.” He said: “Go back to them and ask for their permission. If they permit you, then strive in the path of Allah, otherwise be devoted to them.” (Abu Dawūd, Al-Albāni graded it as saheeh)

Abu Hurairah said: “The fornicating woman is the one who marries without the permission of her guardian (father).” (A hadeeth authenticated by Al-Albānī).

So women who marry these khārijite terrorists are not entering into an Islamic marriage recognised by the Sharee’ah. They are entering into an illicit relationship of fornication or adultery, for which they are severely threatened by Allāh and will have to answer for on the Day of Judgement. Any children from such a marriage are not ascribed to the khārijite father and are offspring from a sinful act of fornication.

These teenage girls must return back to their parents as a binding religious obligation and repent to Allah for their sins – and indeed Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. If they persist and remain stubborn, they are the losers in this world and the next, and major sinners till the Day of Judgement, because they chose disobedience to Allah and His Messenger in favor of following their whims and desires.
