The Da’wah Efforts In Birmingham

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy.

In Birmingham, the Salafi Masjid and Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabiyyah are the two bases for the establishment of the prayer, the spreading of da’wah, the delivering of religious classes, the teaching of Qur’an and much more.

The Salafi da’wah in Birmingham stretches back over three decades. It is, without doubt, a blessing from Allah, the Most High, that He has enabled the da’wah of Ahlus-Sunnah to flourish in this city of Birmingham, the second largest city in the United Kingdom that sits in the middle of England.

With tens of thousands of Muslims in Birmingham, our centres of learning (mosques), schools, bookstore, da’wah stalls, publishing house and schools offer the community an authentic understanding of Islam. We have dozens of websites that disseminate knowledge of the Islamic creed and practice. Our weekly classes (20 or more) are broadcast live across the world (via radiosalafi.com) – these alone constitute a solid Islamic curriculum for any English-speaking student of knowledge. Each lecture is then uploaded usually within a day or two for free download at salafisounds.com.

Birmingham has the largest number of Salafis in the United Kingdom: the numbers that attend the ‘Eid prayer is just one indicator of this fact. Our conferences are filled with thousands of attendees from all across the country and the English-speaking world. Weekly, more and more people enter into the Islamic faith or into the methodology and belief of Ahlus-Sunnah. We are constantly grateful to Allah for these tremendous blessings. These projects need your financial support and your regular Sadaqah donations. Any Sadaqah that you give is recorded and spent in accordance to where it is needed the most. Thousands of visitors pass through or facilities yearly, some come for conferences, others to settle here, and yet others because they’ve heard of the great efforts in the field of da’wah. And it is Allah who we thank and praise for all of this.

We are very keen to continue the efforts in Birmingham. This requires cooperation from Ahlus-Sunnah in Birmingham, the UK and across the world. Please see for yourselves in the images below the efforts that the Salafi Da’wah in Birmingham is engaged in, and donate to allow us to keep up our efforts. Without your constant donations, these projects would not be sustainable. Many of our projects are very much in need of your Sadaqah, so please don’t delay. The the images and comments below are self-evident of the efforts in Birmingham. Take your time to look and read, and please invite others to read also. This opportunity is not to be missed by those wishing for regular and constant reward. Click on any image and browse:

Giving charity benefits the Muslim:

Allaah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: “Among the deeds whose reward will reach the believer after his death are: knowledge which he taught and spread, a righteous child whom he left behind, a copy of the Qur’an which he leaves behind for others to read, or a Mosque that he built, a house that he built for the passing traveller, a canal that he dug, or charity that he gave during his lifetime when he was in good health. These deeds will reach him after his death.” (Ibn Maajah, no. 242, authenticated by Shaikh al-Albaanee)

A man asked the Prophet (ﷺ): “Which charity brings the greatest reward?” He replied: “That you give in charity when you are healthy, feeling miserly, whilst you fear poverty and are in hope of becoming rich. So do not delay until you are at the point of death and then you say: “Give this to so-and-so and give that to so-and-so,” when at that point [your wealth and property] already belongs to so-and-so!” (Al-Bukhaaree, no. 1419)

Small Amounts Help Immensely

If you are not wealthy, then praise is due to Allaah, even small amounts of charity aid the believer.Allaah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: “Save yourselves from the Hell, even with half a date.” (Al-Bukhaaree, no. 1417) Even an amount as small as £5 per month would be written for the sincere believer as a tremendous good deed, benefitting him until the next life.

Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, has stated: “Spend from what we have provided you before death approaches one of you and he says, “My Lord if only you would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous.” Qur’aan 63:10

Build A Mosque

The reward is truly immense, Allaah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: “Whoever builds a Mosque for the sake of Allaah, Allaah will build for him a house in Paradise.” (Reported by Bukhaaree and Muslim). On an occasion, the noble Companion, Uthmaan (may Allah be pleased with him) addressed his companions saying: “I ask you by Allaah and Islaam! Do you know that the Mosque of the Prophet () was too small for its people, so the Messenger of Allaah () said: ‘Who will purchase the land of the family of so-and-so and add it to this Mosque in exchange for better than that in Paradise?’ So I bought it with the core of my wealth and presented it to the Messenger.” (Reported authentically by at- Tirmidhee, no. 3703)

The location of the present Salafi Mosque is in the heart of Small Heath Birmingham. It is ideally placed within a bustling Muslim community, just behind the Coventry Road that leads into the city centre, whilst in the opposite direction lies Birmingham International Airport within a twenty-minute drive. The Masjid as-Sunnah in Aston lies on the other side of the city where it serves a large Muslim community.
