The questioner asks: “Do you advise us to benefit from the books of Shaikh ‛Abdullāh Ibn Abdur-Raheem al-Bukhāree?”

Summarised translation of the answer of Ash-Shaikh Al-‛Allamah ‛Ubaid Al-Jabiree:

Alhamdilillāh, he is our brother, our student – and he is the student of our two brothers, Shaikh Rabee’ and Shaikh Muhammad Ibn Hādee. I hold before Allāh that he is an ‛Ālim, a scholar, a person of Sunnah. Indeed it is not out of the ordinary that he be considered an ‛Allāmah, a great scholar, and all praise is due to Allāh, even though these three scholars are of varying levels of virtue, but Abdullāh Al-Bukhāree is an ‛Allāmah in truth.

And Shaikh Muhammad Ibn Hādee is an ‛Allāmah – and perhaps Shaikh Muhammad is Shaikh ‛Abdullāh’s shaikh in some areas of knowledge. And Shaikh Rabee’, may Allāh preserve him, then he is the shaikh of all of us. He is older than all of us, and has more knowledge than us – and I swear by Allāh, that ‛Ubayd does not reach the level of Shaikh Rabee’ in knowledge; nor has he preceded him in his Jihād against innovations and its people, and in cultivating Ahlus-Sunnah upon the correct methodology, and all praise is for Allāh. So each of these two brothers is a Scholar, an ‛Allāmah, a Faqeeh, and a person of Sunnah, alhamdulillāh – having correct ‛aqeedah, and a sound manhaj in the call to Allāh, the Mighty and Majestic.
