Alhamdulillaahi Rabbil-‘Aalameen, was-salaatu was-salaamu ‘alaa Rasoolillaah, wa ‘alaa aalihi wa as-haabihi ‘ajmaa’een.
All praise is due to Allaah, the Lord of all that exists. May the salutation and peace of Allaah be upon the Messenger of Allaah, upon his family and upon all of his Companions.
This website, in actuality, is an opportunity for me, in my limited capacity, to disseminate benefits connected to the Salafi belief, methodology and rulings that have been narrated to us by our noble Scholars, past and present in their books and classes. It also affords me the opportunity to convey any comments and thoughts I may have that may aid myself and others in understanding better the Salafi da’wah in the English language.
Salafi Publications (المكتبة السلفية) or al-Maktabah as-Salafiyyah was established back in 1996 by a handful of brothers (who were known in the da’wah) after a major conference in Birmingham that was attended by Shaikh Abdus-Salaam Burjis (rahimahullaah), Shaikh Muhammad b. Haadee and Shaikh Muhammad al-Anjaree. Some of those who established the Maktabah were involved in da’wah activities years before the Maktabah came about as a publishing house and da’wah entity. Others who were involved in the Maktabah from its beginning were: Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq, Abu Talhah Daawood Burbank (rahimahullaah) and Abu Hakeem Bilaal Davis (and others, may Allaah reward them all).
Salafi Publications have many numerous websites, each fulfilling a unique purpose. Our noble brother Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq contributes and maintains much of what is contained on those sites, and Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis also has a very beneficial article-based site – so may Allaah reward them both. And one cannot forget or ignore the immense efforts of other Maraakiz (and students of knowledge) in the West who have put much effort forth in spreading the Salafi da’wah in the English language, such as Troid (Masjid al-Furqaan, Toronto, Canada), Sunnah Publishing (USA), Rahmaniyyah Publishing (of Abul-Hasan Maalik al-Akhdar, Philadelphia, USA), etc. So I see this as just a further contribution to these knowledge-based efforts – and all praise is due to Allaah.
